20 June 2026 / 4 Muhar'ram 1448H - His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam, today granted a farewell audience for Her Excellency Caryn R. McClelland, the outgoing Ambassador of the United States of America to Brunei Darussalam, at Istana Nurul Izzah.
His Royal Highness expressed appreciation to Her Excellency for her contributions to further strengthening the longstanding friendship and close cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the United States of America. During her tenure, both countries continued to deepen cooperation across a range of areas, including defence, education, trade and investment, and people-to-people exchanges.
Her Excellency presented her Letter of Credence to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on 24 May 2022.
